SCM Inspection and Maintenance Certification Course (Sept 16th & 17th)

The Colorado Stormwater Center provides a certification program on inspection and maintenance of stormwater control measures. In this 1.5 day training program, we teach participants how to recognize SCM maintenance needs and how to perform maintenance correctly. The program includes 8 hours of presentations/discussion in a classroom setting, a 2-hour field trip and a 2-hour written exam (optional). Participants that successfully pass the written exam receive certification from Colorado State University Extension. **The Center reserves the right to cancel the course no fewer than 7 days in advance if the minimum number of workshop participants has not been reached Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be made in writing and received by the Center no later than seven (7) days before the date of the training in order to receive a refund (less a $50 cancellation fee). No refunds will be issued after this date. Register for 3 or 4 seats and receive a 5% discount. Register for 5 or more seats and receive a 10% discount!

SCM Design & Review Certification (Oct 13th & 14th, 2026)

Low Impact Development: SCMs & Green Infrastructure

This webinar will introduce the principles of Low Impact Development (LID) and Green Infrastructure (GI) and demonstrate how these approaches can be used to reduce runoff, improve water quality, and better replicate natural site hydrology.

Participants will explore common stormwater control measures, including bioretention, permeable surfaces, vegetated systems, infiltration practices, and treatment trains. The course will also address SCM selection, site constraints, design considerations, maintenance needs, and opportunities to incorporate green infrastructure into public and private development projects.
