Stormwater Control Measures: HOA Webinar
This course is designed to help homeowners associations (HOAs), property managers, board members, and other community representatives better understand their responsibilities for the long-term operation and maintenance of stormwater control measures (SCMs). Participants will learn how common SCMs function, why routine inspection and maintenance are important, and how proper care helps protect water quality, maintain system performance, and prevent costly repairs or compliance concerns.
The course will cover common maintenance needs and deficiencies, inspection practices, maintenance triggers, documentation and recordkeeping, and strategies for developing an effective long-term SCM maintenance program. Practical examples will help participants recognize potential problems, understand when corrective action may be needed, and better communicate with contractors, inspectors, municipalities, and other professionals responsible for maintaining stormwater infrastructure within HOA communities.
